Day 1
Arrival & foundation
Arrive, settle into the rhythm of the land, learn the expectations that hold the week, and begin with an honest look at where you are now.
A practical Sweet Grass Co. leadership program for adults who are ready to step outside, contribute, work with others, and see what their leadership looks like in real conditions.
This is not five days of sitting in a circle talking about leadership. It is a structured program of facilitated learning, hands-on contribution, shared responsibility, teamwork, reflection, and honest conversation.
You do not need a title to lead. You do need to be willing to participate fully, notice your patterns, and contribute to the people around you.

Each day builds on the last. The program moves from how you lead yourself to how you lead with and for others.
Day 1
Arrive, settle into the rhythm of the land, learn the expectations that hold the week, and begin with an honest look at where you are now.
Day 2
Work alongside another person. Practise clear communication, commitment, listening, and the difference between intention and follow-through.
Day 3
Meet real team challenges. Notice the roles, systems, decisions, and pressure patterns that appear when a group must work together.
Day 4
Take part in meaningful shared work. Leadership becomes visible in contribution, care, problem-solving, and how a group serves something beyond itself.
Day 5
Look back at the week, name what has shifted, receive direct feedback, and leave with a practical commitment for the life you are returning to.
Learning, outdoor application, shared meals, reflection, and rest all have a place. The rhythm changes with the day and conditions, but every part of it is designed to support the leadership work.
The program is designed for adults who are physically mobile and ready for outdoor activity on uneven terrain, hands-on participation, and shared responsibility. We will ask about limitations and support needs before attendance, so participation can be planned safely and respectfully.
Please leave alcohol, recreational drugs, and assumptions about how the week should go at home.

This is a rain-or-shine program on uneven Alberta terrain. Participants need to be mobile and ready to be outdoors in wet, windy, hot, or cold conditions. Daily animal care continues in ordinary weather; only severe weather moves the program indoors.
Closed-toe footwear, safe participation, and immediate reporting of hazards are required throughout the program.
Phones are off during program hours so participants can step away from distraction and noise and be fully present in the work. Personal phone time is available outside program hours.
Respect, confidentiality, full participation, and care for people, animals, and the land are not optional extras. They are how the week works.
